We had planned to visit the reptile centre the first week we got to Alice Springs and 5 months later we decided we should really make the effort to go before we leave in less than 2 weeks time. Its pretty cheap at $14 each and only a small place, basically a converted house but its well worth it. We had a look around at all the snakes, lizards and everything else that they had there including a saltwater crocodile and the deadliest snake in the world. You can't really go to the reptile centre and miss the presentation, the best bit is getting to hold the reptiles!
So far... 5 weeks in Melbourne, 1 month in Tasmania, 3 weeks Victoria, 2 days Canberra, 4 days Sydney, 1 week South Australia, 2 weeks Adelaide, 5 months Alice Springs!

Toga in Alice
What a great week! For the first time in 5 months me and Chris have both had an evening off work together so we decided to go to Hanamans which was fully booked on Monday night but they managed to squeeze us in. Its probably the best place to go for a posh meal in Alice Springs although we headed back to Alice in the Territory for desert because nothing compares to those chocolate brownies!
We made some homemade burgers and had a BBQ Tuesday night even though its still pretty cold of an evening its probably still warmer than a summer back in England :)
We decided to have a toga party on Saturday and make our costumes out of the sheets in the hotel laundry. Jess and Tam were leaving, it was my last week working at the hotel and a bunch of newbies were starting work so it was a good excuse for a party. After way too many shots, a lot of BBQ food, a million games of beer pong and a water fight it was time to call it a night! Amazing day!
Considering I had work at 6am on Sunday I was feeling pretty good and not too hungover at all. Me and Chris went to the casino for lunch and then everyone got together for movie night in the restaurant and ate all the left over food from the BBQ.
I worked my last shift on reception on Monday and was going to find something else for a few weeks but I've now decided to chill out and enjoy not having to work for a whole year!! After work we had a few drinks round by the pool and then headed into town to The Rock Bar for Dinner and farewell drinks for Tam.
